What you will get
Corrected details, knowing before you save what changes alongside them. The path is Students, then Edit on the student's row — or Edit at the top of their record.
The screen is the registration form, with two things less and one thing more.
What is different from registration
The portal password starts folded away. On the registration screen you pick the password; here the block starts closed. Editing a phone number should not change someone's password by accident, which is why it opens shut.
While it looks like this, saving the form does not touch the student's password. It only changes after you click Redefinir senha.
The document stays unique. Type an ID that already belongs to another student and the system refuses, exactly as on registration.
Changing the email of someone who uses the portal
When your school uses the email as the login identifier, changing the Email field also changes what the student types to sign in. They are not told.
The password stays the same. Only the "username" moved.
The same holds when login is by Document (CPF) and you fix the ID: the new number becomes the login, with no dots or dashes.
Agree the change with the student before saving, or they will knock on the portal door with the old detail.
What Active and Inactive do — and what they do not
Inactive helps you tell, on the list, who is studying from who has left. It is a note to yourself.
What it does not do, and this surprises people:
- It does not block the portal. An inactive student signs in normally and sees contracts and instalments.
- It does not stop charges. The enrolment's instalments keep being created and falling due.
- It does not cancel an enrolment. Cancelling happens on the enrolment screen.
To stop charging someone, go through the enrolment, not the student record.
How you know it worked
The screen returns to the student record with the green banner Student updated successfully., and the new details are already in the panel. If the login field changed, Portal access shows the new value.
If something goes wrong
You saved and now the student cannot sign in. Check Portal access on the record: that is what the student has to type. If you changed the email, the old one no longer works.
The inactive student keeps getting charged. That is how the system behaves: the record's status does not talk to the instalments. Handle it through the enrolment.
You only want to fix the city. Clear the ZIP code and type it again — the automatic lookup refills the whole block.
