What you can adjust on the receiving connection

What you will get

Understanding why almost nothing on this screen is editable, and setting up correctly the one thing that is.

The account ID, the connection date, the mode and the payment methods are read-only. That is not a limitation: those values come from the receiving account, and changing them here would change nothing there.

The field you fill in

The only editable field is Webhook Secret. It is the password EduPay uses to be sure a payment notice really came from the payment service, and not from someone else.

Without it, a fake notice could mark an installment as paid when nobody paid. That is why it exists.

Where to get it: the screen itself says — "Obtain it in Stripe Dashboard > Webhooks". It is a value starting with whsec_.

The address you copy over there

Right below the field comes your school's Webhook URL. It is the address the payment service must notify when a student pays, and it contains your school's identifier inside it.

Copy exactly what is on the screen. A wrong address produces no error anywhere: the notice simply never arrives, and paid installments stay open forever.

Step by step

1. Open Integrations › Payment Gateway.

2. Copy the address shown under the field.

3. Register that address in the Stripe dashboard and take the value it gives back.

4. Paste the value into the field and click Save settings.

How to know it worked

The screen switches to Settings and the message Configurações do gateway atualizadas. appears at the top.

This surprises almost everyone: the button saves and takes you to another screen instead of returning you to the receiving one. It is not an error — the value was saved.

To check, go back to Integrations › Payment Gateway. The field shows empty again, because values of this kind are not displayed after being stored. Saving over it replaces the previous one.

A serious warning about this button

Clicking Save settings with the field empty erases the password already stored. And the field is always empty when you open the screen.

In practice: if you come in here for any reason and click save, receiving stops settling on its own — and nothing on screen warns you. The badge still says Connected, Test connection still says everything is fine, charges still go out. Only payment stops being recognised.

The rule, until this is fixed: only click Save settings when you have just pasted a password into the field. Never click it "just to check".

This is logged as a defect and will be fixed.

How to know it is actually working

There is no "test the notice" button. The real proof is the first paid installment that turns to Paid on its own, with nobody recording anything.

If after setting this up you still have to record payments by hand, the address or the value is wrong.

If something goes wrong

I saved and saw no confirmation. You probably did not notice the screen change. The message appears under Settings, not here.

The field is empty after saving. That is the expected behaviour.

I cannot find the Save settings button. Your account is a team account — the whole editing box only appears for whoever administers the EduPay account.
